On Wednesday, October 11, we were joined by more than 2,000 students, educators, business and community leaders for our fourth annual Manufacturing Day celebration at the Bayfront Convention Center in Erie, Pa.
This year’s event, held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., was an amazing exhibition of innovation, technology and career opportunities in today’s manufacturing industry. This was accomplished thanks to a combination of manufacturers, vendors, high school and higher education institutions providing more than 60 exhibits, programs and demonstrations, designed for participants to experience innovative manufacturing technology in a hands-on, interactive environment. This exhibition included 3D printing, robotics, CNC machining, drone technology, in addition to multiple educational breakout sessions held throughout the morning.
We believe that by working together, we can promote the importance of a robust and innovative manufacturing industry — the most powerful force behind our nation’s economy, which continues to provide outstanding career opportunities for our young people. Thank you to our sponsors, exhibitors, partners and school administrators for making this day a tremendous success!
